Join a visionary group of people, known as the Promising Futures Legacy Circle, who have shown their commitment to creating a brighter future for foster children with a legacy gift to Promises2Kids. With thoughtful planning, anyone can make a lasting impact that benefits themselves and their loved ones and bring hope to thousands of future foster children, while enjoying tax advantages and other benefits.

Legacy Circle members receive special benefits and recognition, including invitations to exclusive quarterly events and a welcome gift to acknowledge your generosity.

To join, simply notify us of your plans to make a legacy gift to Promises2Kids. Be part of the solution by joining the Promising Futures Legacy Circle and leave a legacy gift through a Will, Trust or other long-range plan.

How a Bequest Works

A charitable bequest is easy and with the help of an attorney, you can include the following language to support Promises2Kids:

“I/We give and devise $________ (or _______% of my/our estate) to the Promises2Kids Foundation, a California nonprofit corporation. Tax ID # 95-3655288”

Ivan (13) and Allie (10) entered foster care after their mother passed away. They had been separated for approximately one year.

At a recent visit to the park, Ivan threw a football in the air over the playground and signaled for Allie and the Camp Connect team to try and catch it. They ran in circles and flailed their arms in an attempt to catch Ivan’s great football throw. It gave him a sense of pride and happiness.

Later on the swings, Allie challenged Ivan to see who could swing higher. Ivan, pretending to be scared of heights, let his little sister win.

Afterwards they pulled up to Allie’s favorite restaurant for dinner. Next to the restaurant was a frozen yogurt shack. Ivan said he had never tasted frozen yogurt before. Without hesitation, they rushed into the store and were mesmerized by all of the flavors and toppings. They both smiled as they tasted it. Ivan said, “I have to admit – yogurt didn’t sound like a good treat. It sounded like a healthy breakfast. But frozen yogurt is AWESOME!”

I made it my personal mission to support children in our community who experience trauma at home. For the past 40 years, Promises2Kids has done that by helping foster youth understand that their horrific pasts do not define their futures. My family estate gift will enable Promises2Kids to continue changing lives for future generations.

By naming Promises2Kids as a beneficiary of my estate, I am trying to make a difference by increasing the chances these young people have to rise above the trauma they have suffered.
