After watching her mother struggle with drugs and alcohol, Susie entered foster care at 16, moved constantly, and attended over 10 schools. Thanks to the community’s support, Promises2Kids is able to provide Susie with a scholarship, a job working with current foster youth, and a fantastic mentor. In the time short time Michele has been mentoring Susie, she has watched her grow exponentially. Susie’s drive and diligence have guided her as the first in her family to attend college.
