Major Gifts Officer/Philanthropy Officer
The Major Gifts/Philanthropy Officer, is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gifts from individuals and community members. The Major Gifts/Philanthropy Officer, will maximize gift revenue from current donors while engaging new prospective constituents and is a key contributor to the major gift budget and annual agency growth. The Major Gifts/ Philanthropy Officer interacts regularly with the Chief Development Officer, Director of Philanthropic Operations, philanthropy team and key stakeholders in performing the position’s principal duties.
Mental Health Therapist
This position is a new but integral role in the Programs department of Promises2Kids. We are seeking a SW or MFT, preferably licensed or registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, to provide development and ongoing evaluation of mental health treatment plans for young adult and adult former foster youth. The Therapist will provide individual and group services utilizing evidence-based, evidence-informed, and promising best practices for the youth served. The Therapist takes a strength-based, trauma-informed, culturally relevant, and client-centered approach to working with youth. The Therapist may be required to provide services in the evenings and on weekends.
The Mentor Manager is a new but integral position in the Programs department of Promises2Kids. Under the direction of the Director of Programs, this position is responsible for mentor outreach onboarding, training, stewardship, and day to day management of mentors to ensure agency needs are met; facilitating high-quality, high-impact relationships between mentor and mentee matches; provide ongoing support to facilitating community presentations to educate and increase awareness of Promises2Kids. The Mentor Manager will be responsible for individual and group mentorship for foster children ages 6-18 years and for young adults who are former foster youth ages 18-28.
Temporary Residential Camp Connect Counselor
Promises2Kids is seeking temporary Residential Camp Counselors for the six-day residential summer camp in the mountains of Julian. Under the direction of the Camp Connect Specialist, the Temporary Residential Camp Counselor will support the training of volunteers, planning of camp activities, and supervision of children attending the camp.
