Camp Connect Siblings Hit the Ice for a Fun-Filled Afternoon
Brothers and sisters recently got into the wintery spirit with a fun-filled ice skating trip!
Siblings started their day at a local park where they were met with two large inflatables, a ninja obstacle course, and a 26′ inflatable slide that all youth loved! In between trips down the slide, they were at the craft table painting pumpkins, hats, and drawstring bags!
After lunch, it was time to hit the ice and skate with the lights off under the glow-in-the-dark effects at the San Diego Ice Arena. Mr. Cube, the arena’s mascot even joined them on the ice and led them in dances. At the end of the day, siblings took polaroid pictures together to take home as a way to remember this special day.
Guardian Scholars’ LGBTQ Group Builds Community Over Dinner
Guardian Scholars’ LGBTQ group recently met for their second class of the year at @Sisterspizzasd in Hillcrest to enjoy some delicious pizza to celebrate the feeling of togetherness created by this new group and to participate in an activity that focused on personal values.
Guardian Scholars were prompted to share how these values drive their ambitions, relationships, passions, and career goals. From this engaging discussion, students connected over their shared experiences and learned from the unique perspectives each one brought.
