Annual Back to School Backpack and Flash Drive
Thanks to everyone who made our 2010 Back to School Drive a tremendous success.  We tripled the number of donations received last year with more than 3,500 items donated!  THANK YOU SAN DIEGO!

UPCOMING EVENTS
Costume Drive for Kids
October 2010-TBD
Each year, Promises2Kids provides costumes to thousands of children in the foster care system so they can participate in Halloween activities at schools and in their neighborhood.

Holiday Gift Drive (Holiday gifts for children needed)
December 13, 2010
Promises2Kids holds a “LIVE Drive” from 6am-6pm at a retail location to collect the gifts for children.  Companies collect gifts over a 4-week period and deliver them to the LIVE drive to be distributed by the Foundation.  Promises2Kids ensures the children in need receive the gifts and toys provided to over 30 local agencies, including the Polinsky Children’s Center, local group homes, San Diego Foster Parent Association, and the San Diego Center for Children.

Broadway San Diego
Promises2Kids has partnered with Broadway San Diego to bring our supporters hard-to-get tickets to some of the hottest Broadway shows. Check this page frequently for updates.

PAST EVENTS
Backpack & Flash Drive (Donations of backpacks and flash drives needed)

Promises2Kids held the 8th annual Backpack & Flash Drive to benefit thousands of abused and at-risk children returning to school this fall.  Promises2Kids welcomed local businesses, community organizations, and individuals who joined the campaign to collect backpacks for the 2010-2011 school year. 

Camp Connect San Diego
August 2010
Promises2Kids in partnership with the United Way and the County of San Diego hosted a four-day three-night camp for siblings currently separated in the foster care system.  The children participated in shared experiences and planned activities with siblings including team building games, horseback riding, arts and crafts, music and entertainment, swimming and hiking.
